Find My Neighborhood Mechanic (FindMNM) at findmnm.com. This page describes how we handle information on this site, including texts.

What we collect

• Technician accounts: username, password (stored hashed), shop name, service address, phone, email, map location, tax rate, and payment-setup flags.
• Customer records a shop keeps: name, phone, email, address, job notes, and invoice details.
• Public search: the zip or location you type so we can list nearby shops.
• Help messages you send through the contact form.

Texts (SMS)

By entering your mobile number on findmnm.com and choosing text (tech sign-up, a customer request, or the shop saving your number after you give it in person), you agree to receive SMS from Steve Krieger doing business as Find My Neighborhood Mechanic (FindMNM). This is consent to text messages, not only to using the website.

We may text you about that account or that job only:

• Technicians: confirmation, new-device, and password-reset codes when you choose text. Optional new-request alerts if you turn them on in Mechanic Data (you can turn them off there any time).
• Customers: a work-location link after the shop shares it, and a job-done message with the total and a pay link.

We do not sell phone numbers or send marketing blasts. Message frequency depends on your account and jobs. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Texts are sent through our SMS provider (Twilio).

Email

We email confirmation and reset codes, finished invoices when a customer has an email on file, and copies of help-form messages to the site operator. Mail is sent from noreply@findmnm.com. Replies to codes may go to support@findmnm.com.

Who we share with

We share data with vendors that run the product: web hosting, email on that host, SMS (Twilio), maps (Google), and card payments (Stripe) when that is turned on. We do not sell your information. A shop sees the customer information you sent that shop. Other shops do not get your record from us.

Map and address

Technicians can hide their exact street on the public map. Search still uses their area so customers can find them. The exact address is shared only through the shop’s private link after they accept you.
